To go or not to go?
Seeing my colleagues leaving one by one really dampens the morale. Its not that the company is closing down or what, but its just that the system to retaining staff is not raising eyebrows. I understand that staff movement after the bonus is common and I try not to to go the area where I change my job again. This is my 5th job for the past 10 years and I am sick of changing again. In addition, with my new wife and new house, I can't afford to rock the boat again.
Seriously, there are people who are best fit into Marketing and sales where closing deals are just like a snap of their fingers. Seeing my other colleagues making good progress and getting into good books of my boss. I am not one of them. I have to keng until my hair drop off to get their attention into evaluating our products. Not to mention market surveys and looking for more potential customers. I am just not cut out to do that. My big boss always say (to the whole office) if you stay long enough and do not quit, the company will reward you for your effort. Now my immediate boss is giving me cold treatment and subtlely "threatening" me to take over my job if I do not show results by this year.
I am stuck in between.... to stay and be bludgeoned by merciless sarcastic remarks, hoping that I can break out of the wedlock or let go and look for greener pastures?
decisions, decisions, decisions......
